I started in 1997 by creating a website for
Carlisle, Pa. to learn
website design and start building sites for clients. It turned out
that event listings on that site were the most viewed section - by
more than 5 times other sections! By 1999, a
website called PaMidstate
was born, to allow users to post events for free to a forum that
would list a broad spectrum of events. This was after a few
really large event sites - but quite a bit before lists from AOL's
Digital City or even before PennLive was born.
Community websites, event databases and other
local sites of interest were created. Among these were the
Carlisle site, plus
Boiling Springs, Pa,
Mt Holly Springs, PA, and
Newville, Pa.
In 2000 I took a career change to run the
Boiling Springs Pool and the
website creation runs its course in the summertime and gears up
all changes, optimizations and new clients in the winter
(September through March). Due to that, my pricing is not
too steep and the quality is good. I am just not 100%
available all throughout the year, so you catch a break!
10 years of website design, search engine optimization & database
management.
